The Algorithms Are Coming!

February 23rd 2018

Computer algorithms that track our behaviors are already here. We’re all aware of that eerie feeling when you shop online for an item, then switch over to an entirely different website, and there is an ad for the product you were just pondering. “The best place to shop for -BLANK- is with us! CLICK NOW!” This happening is commonplace. And if you’re a sci-fi follower like me, it may bring to mind a scene from the film Minority Report where the main character, on the lam and desperately trying to remain incognito, enters the mall only to have a hologram call out his name to congratulate him on a recent purchase. She/it then asks if he’d like an accessory to go with the newly acquired item. The scene, though slightly comical, delivers a menacing jolt. The “reality box” inside us is checked; meaning, like it or not, we know the piece of fiction on view will soon become fact.

Beyond a persistent salesman, this technique called “retargeting” or “remarketing” became the norm as companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Google endorsed this kind of virtual advertising. Privacy concerns were curtailed by citing that the phenomenon could be controlled by turning off cookies, or by the user clicking into the ads to opt out. Many consumers soon got used to the all-seeing-eye watching their every move or potential purchase throughout the web. Shoppers even began seeing this “behavioral targeting” as a bonus feature, connecting them to their product faster by anticipating their needs! Your historical surfing data became a priceless commodity for retailers hungry to learn your total buying behavior. When they matched this past data with new data which you’re creating real-time (as in: right now, as you’re reading this article) it offered them a powerfully predictive model to sell you on whatever they’re selling.

But what happens when big data and algorithms start predicting what you haven’t clicked on? And I don’t mean offering the obvious matching scarf to your new GAP sweater. I mean, offering you a product or service only it knows you desire, something denied deep in your subconscious which the AI will bring to the forefront. Placing the item or decision in your face until you “face” the facts, the algorithm informs you that you do want this thing.

Scary? Let’s listen to a short talk by Professor Yuval Noah Harari on how big data will eventually reveal things not known to the individual himself! Buckle up…

(But digressing a moment, just whose face is that behind Professor Harari on the stage as he opens his speech? Could it be the face of perfect humanity about to be replaced by their version of perfection? Anyway, back to BIG DATA) Harari says this massive data grab, meshed with advanced algorithms, will “hack” consumers to mine our biometric data.

If Noah’s first few sentences do not snap you to attention, please check your pulse. He says we’re likely the last generation of homo sapiens. Let’s repeat that: the last generation of homo sapiens. Gone will be the current model; replaced by a new race of engineered beings. The merger of info-tech and bio-tech (via advanced, learning AI) has unpeeled the onion of life to reveal that all “organisms are algorithms.”

You, the onion unraveling this article and what it means for the future of our race, are just a “biochemical algorithm.” The growing technocracy is deciphering you, hacking you. By storing and analyzing enough of your data, superior algorithms will be born that know you better than you know yourself. Now brace for impact: “Humans really don’t know themselves very well.” – This is why algorithms are such a boon, Harari says. They will get to know you better than you do. Ummm…

Venturing on in the video, Professor Harari uses an amazing example about his sexual preference. He was once in denial and laments that a powerful algorithm wasn’t there to let him know sooner. Why fight it, he says, “you will not be able to hide from Amazon, Alibaba, and the Secret Police.”

How’s your pulse now?

“As you surf the internet or watch videos or check your social feed, the algorithms will be monitoring your eye movements, your blood pressure, your brain activity. And, they will…” allow retailers to market their products to you based on your secret proclivities. You won’t know this is happening, but they will know. And this information is worth billions.

“Once we have algorithms that can understand me better than I understand myself, it could predict my desires, manipulate my emotions, even make decision on my behalf. If we’re not careful, the outcome could be the rise of digital dictatorships.”

Dictatorship - ya think? Say it with me: PREDICT • MANIPULATE • DECIDE. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for this utopia. Imagine not having to agonize over which scarf to buy, or whom to marry, or what to marry. It will let us know. Of course, the professor is shrewd to warn about who will be watching over all this data, and about what to do with the giga-mountains of personal information. So personal that you don’t even know it yet. To this end, the professor admits he does not know how to regulate the data. But I’m certain if we solicit our congress-people they will pass enough laws to protect us from any nefarious activity, no matter who has access. Governments have such a great track record of coming through in this area, don’t they? Especially when many recent “incidents” are meant to take the American patriots’ guns, so there can be no recourse.

Which brings us back to heart rates and a learning AI picking up zillions of bits of micro-information; like monitoring the global citizen’s “eye movements,” “blood pressure” and so on. How are you feeling now? Maybe SkyNet just used its superior algorithm to decide your fate as a blood-boiling, religious reactionary bent against the transhuman cause. But who isn’t bent against a cause or particular politician these days? That answer is obvious after five-minutes on FaceBook. Maybe only those off the grid would be safe from such an evaluation, and whatever fate comes with it. If the algorithm can read you, you’re liable. The producers for Minority Report are calling on line 1. They want their pre-crime unit back.

Orwell just stopped eating his popcorn.

Yet, we cannot end this article without one more gem from Professor Harari (about 12:50 in): “Science is replacing evolution by natural selection with evolution by intelligent design. Not the intelligent design of some ‘god above the clouds,’ but our intelligent design and the intelligent design of OUR clouds; the IBM Cloud; the Microsoft cloud. These are the new driving forces of evolution.”

If your blood wasn’t boiling before, it is now. Better close the curtains. They could be on the way. Applicable scriptures for this nonsense are too numerous to list, but here are a few that came to my heart:

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14:13-14 King James Version

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:4-5 King James Version

In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. Revelation 9:6 King James Version

“Not die” VS “Want to die, but cannot.” I’m sensing a deception here.

The game is afoot, so they say, all you who respect the ministries of Steve Quayle, Tom Horn, Timothy Alberino, Derek and Sharon Gilbert, The Faull Brothers, Josh Peck, and more. Gather at True Legends 2018 in Branson MO, Sept 14-16 to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime event. Join forces with us to resist transhumanism. Become fully informed about these complex and critical issues—and walk away PREPARED.

GenSix Productions was launched in 2014 with a mission to set the record straight giving an accurate historical and contemporary worldview based on the pivotal episode recorded in the sixth chapter of Genesis (as well as in many other ancient manuscripts and traditions). We believe that the narrative of Genesis 6 is the key to unlocking the secrets of the prehistoric past, and the cipher for decoding the mysteries of the prophetic future.
